Breeding guarantee

3 YEAR BULL GUARANTEE

All breeding cattle sold by Lawsons Angus are fertile and structurally sound to the best of our knowledge.

If a bull becomes infertile or breaks down due to reasons other than injury or misadventure, at any time in the next 36 months, we will:

  1. provide you with a satisfactory replacement if available, or

  2. issue you with a credit equal to purchase price minus salvage value that may be used to purchase any animal in future Lawsons Angus sales. This is not a life insurance policy. Normal care needs to be taken as we cannot replace an animal that is injured or dies for any reason.

We recommend you insure animals against injury: an insurance service will be available on Sale Day for bulls purchased at our Annual Production Sale.

This guarantee is in addition to normal terms and conditions governing auction sales, and as such the vendor’s decision will be final. In some cases buyers may be requested to supply a veterinary report.

FEMALE BREEDING GUARANTEE

All females sold by Lawsons Angus are fertile and structurally sound to the best of our knowledge. If a female is determined to be a non-breeder within 12 months of the Sale, then we will:

  1. provide you with a satisfactory replacement if available, or

  2. issue you with a credit equal to purchase price minus salvage value that may be used to purchase any animal in future Lawsons Angus sales.

All females’ pregnancy status will be clearly notified at sale point. Females that sell as “open” are deemed not pregnant, females denoted PTIC (pregnancy tested in calf) are being sold as pregnant. While we cannot guarantee a live calf from every preg-tested female, please make sure you contact us if you do not receive a satisfactory result from your female purchase.

This is not a Life Insurance policy. Normal care needs to be taken as we cannot replace an animal that is injured or dies for any reason. Similarly, we cannot guarantee pregnancies for future AI and/or Embryo Transfer results with your breeding females.
